Saturday
- The Seasons Of Grief: Chapter II - Poem VI -
I could go and trace the signs,
Think about the moment you became mine,
Living in a daydream, we met online
Waiting for your next reply,
Met you at a café, you caught my eye,
Smiling through it all, you changed my life
You told me through your songs, now I’m sure,
I’m positive, I’ll love you forever
I bet you’re thinking, “This feels new,”
Talking late at night, sharing stories from me to you,
I think I feel it too
How’d you do that, how’d you make me fall?
Handing me fresh coffee every morning in fall,
Kissing on my couch, we’ve done that once, or twice
I know I overthink too much, I get lost,
When we spent that night, I knew the cost
Taylor played in the background, hearts embossed,
Like the rain outside
You bet I’m thinking “This feels cool,”
Cuddled close on the floor, every whisper feels so true,
I think I feel it too
You’ve got me thinking about Saturday,
Sipping Moscato at noon, then we’ll dance the night away,
It’s our day
Made it through the years, now I know I found it,
I know I wasn’t fine, but now you’ve got me astounded,
Every single kiss, my heart’s still pounding,
That’s just life, that’s our life,
I’ll put up a fight for every warning,
Can I feel your vibe? Your love’s my calling,
You should spend your life with me, I’m falling,
I’m all yours, you’re all mine
I know you’re thinking “This feels true,”
Lazy mornings with you, every moment feels like a great pursuit,
I feel it too
Now I’m always thinking about Saturday,
Where we talk about the vows, dreaming of our wedding day,
That’s our way
All I think about now is Saturday
